I NEED AN ANSWER TODAY PLS

An isosceles triangle and a rhombus have the same measure unity.

Rhombus: D=8 d=6 s=5

Isosceles triangle: s=x S=x+1

Find the value of x so the perimeter of the rhombus equals the double of the triangle's.

The perimeter of the rhombus is 4*5  = 20 units

I'm assuming that the x in the triangle refers to the measure of one of the equal sides

So the perimeter of the triangle = x + x + x + 1  =   3x + 1

And we have this:

20  = 2[ 3x + 1]      divide both sides by 2

10  = 3x + 1            subtract 1 from both sides

9  = 3x            divide by 3 on both sides

3  = x

Proof  :

20  =  2[3*3 + 1]

20  = 2[10]

20  = 20

cool cool cool
