I don't know how to do this. I keep getting the wrong answer.

4 x (4 + 5) = (x - 2)(x + 4 + x - 2)

4 x 9 = (x - 2)(2x + 2)

36 = 2x² - 2x - 4

x² - x - 2 = 18

x² - x - 20 = 0

(x - 5)(x + 4) = 0

x = 5

x = -4 (can't be negative distance)
