i need help with a math problem: find the distance between points (2,2) and (-2,5) tp the nearest tenth.

i have no idea how to figuer it out!!!!!! i have a test monday

(2,2)   (-2,5)

First, subtract the x coordinates....order doesn't matter...so we have

-2-2  = -4

Square this   (-4) ^2   = 16

Now do the same proceedure with the y coordinates...again, order doesn't matter

5-2 = 3

3^2  = 9

Add the 16 and the 9  = 25

Now....take the square root of this

√25  = 5    ....and that's the distance between the points......!!!
