Hey everyone I need help with this problem solving. The problem solving is the following: Hobby researcher Lilius happened to shrink their children to the size of a bacterium. In the microscope, he saw how they were chased by a nasty little virus. The children were, however talented sprinters, which in the scale implied rate 5 micron / s (equivalent to the speed of a 100m runner). How long did it take for the kids to run across the microscope slide that was 1 cm wide?

A micron is one-millionth of a meter   1 x 10^-6 m

so they run 5 x 10^-6 m/s

1 cm = 1 x 10^-2 m       1 x 10^-2m/ 5 x 10^-6 m/s  =  .2 x 10^(-2+6) s = .2 x 10^4 s = 2x 10^3 sec = 2000 seconds
