6x^2 + 4y^2 = 18      divide through by 18  and we have

x^2 / 3  + 2y^2/9 =  1        and we can write this as

x^2 / 3 + y^2 / [9/2] = 1

The center is  (0, 0)

The major axis lies along the y axis

c = sqrt [ a^2 - b^2]  =  sqrt [ 9/2 - 3 ]  =  sqrt [ 3/2]

The eccentricity  =  c / a  =    sqrt [3/2] / [9/2]  =  sqrt (6) / 9

The foci  are  (0, + sqrt[3/2] )  and (0, -sqrt [3/2] )

The x intercepts are  -sqrt (3)  and (sqrt (3)

The y intercepts are  3/ sqrt (2)  and    -  3/sqrt (2)
