WHAT IS 1.255X 10^-1

Well, I guess you know that 10^3 = 10 x 10 x 10 = 1000.
And 10^2 = 100.
10^1 = 10.

Hey, they are getting smaller by a factor of 10!

So... 10^0 = 1.
... and 10^-1 = 1/10.

But then 1.255 x 10^-1 = 1.255 x 1/10 = 0.1255
