That is not correct Mellie

(-5,-6), m=-3

y=mx+b

y=-3x+b

sub in (-5,-6) ti find b

-6=-3*-5+b

-6=-15+b

9=b

y=-3x+9

m=change in y/change in x.

-6-y/-5-x=-3

we want to get it into y=mx+b form.

I multiplied each side by (-5-x)

I got -6-y=15+3x

Then, add 6 to both sides.

-y=21+3x

Your equation would be y=-21-3x because you want to take away the negative sign from y
