Given that f(x)= x^2 - 6x + 8 and g(x)= x - 2, solve f(x) = g(x) using a table of values. Please show your work :)))

We can set this so that x^2-6x+8=x-2.

x^2-7x+10=0

(x-2)(x-5)=0

x=2, 5

You are very welcome!

Using a table

x        x^2 - 6x + 8          x -  2

0                8                    -2

1                3                    -1

2                0                     0

3                -1                    1

4                0                     2

5                3                     3

Which confirms  CS's   answer  !!!
