Find the values of m and n for the Pythagorean triple 48, 55, 73.
I also need the work.
Thanks so much,
Jeff
\(55 = m^2 - n^2\\ 48 = 2 m n\\ 73 = m^2 + n^2\)
\(55 = 5 \cdot 11 = (m+n)(m-n)\\ m+n=11\\ m-n=5\\ m = 8,~n=3\)
I'm a little confused Rom. How do you tell which of the pythagorean triples correspond to A, B, and C?
