Each side of a rhombus has length 6.One of the angles of the rhombus is 120 degrees. Find the area of the rhombus.
i'm pretty sure the area is 36.. i am not sure why they included the fact that one of the angles of the rhombus was 120 degrees. try this answer.
A rhombus could be a square, but it aint necessarily so.
This rhombus is not a square, think of it as a 6 by 6 square bashed on one of its top corners.
Its area will be less than 36.
We have two triangles with sides of 6 and an included angle of 120° between these sides
The area =
2 (1/2) 6^2 sin (120) =
36 √3/ 2 =
18√2 units^2
