if a parabola has one root at (-3,0) and a vertex at (2,5) what is the location of the other root?

The vertex is located on the line of symmetry of the parabola.....since one root is at (-3, 0), the other root will  be located at  (7, 0). This is so because the first root is 5 "x " units to the left of the vertex. Then, the second root must be 5 "x" units to the right of the vertex.
