if i get $7.25 a hour and i work 40 hours for 52 weeks what is my monthly salary

So, heres the refined equation:

(7.25*40*52)/12

7.25*40*(52/4)

There are about 4 weeks in a month, so take 52/4, and it will look like this:

7.25*40*8

However, the equation above shows for 8 months, not one. So, you must divide by 8, which will look like this:

(7.25*40*8)/8

If you simplify, it'll look like this:

(7.25/8)*5*1 or (7.25/8)*5

7.25/8 = .90625, or .91

0.91*5 = 4.55

52 weeks = 1 year.....so we need  divide by 12 to get the monthly salary....so we have

$(7.25 x 40 x 52 / 12) = about  $1256.66
