If i have (5*x^3-3*x^2+3*x-2)/(x+1) and i got 5x2-8x-5-(7/x-1), what did I do wrong?
*I got this on a test and my teacher says im wrong, but I dont see how...
(5*x^3-3*x^2+3*x-2)/(x+1)
5x^2 -8x + 11
x + 1 [ 5x^3 - 3x^2 +3x - 2 ]
5x^3 +5x^2

-8x^2 -8x

So.... the result is
5x^2 - 8x + 11 R ( -13 ) / (x + 1)
