If somebody drove 693 miles in 11 hours. Also, drove 173.5 miles in 2 hours 45 minutes (or 2.75 hours). I got close by adding 5hrs. 30min. milage to 2hrs. 45min to 1hr. 22min. 30sec. milage time, but thats not 9 hrs. Then, how do i get miles they drove in 9 hours?

Your question is:

If somebody drove 693 miles in 11 hours, and also, drove 173.5 miles in 2 hours 45 minutes.  Then, how do i get miles they drove in 9 hours?

Total miles:   693 + 173.5 = 866.5

Total hours:  11 + 2.75 = 13.75

Put this information into a proportion:

                   866.5mil/13.75hrs = Xmil/9hrs

                   X = 866.5*9/13.75

                   X = 567.16

Answer:  In 9 hours that somebody drove 567.16 miles!
