If the area of a rectangle is 854, what is the length and the width?

I thought it was always backwards instead?you do lengthXwidth to find the area?Like 427*2=854 427 being something like length and two being width.Maybe chris can explain to us both?

The area of a triangle is given by half the base times the height.  There are an infinite number of triangles of different bases and heights that will have an area of magnitude 854.

I meant rectangle.
