Daniel got 4 out of every 5 questions correct on a recent multiple-choice test. If he got 64 questions
correct, how many did he miss? Include a model.
Hey there!
If Daniel gets 4 out of 5 right thats a 4:5 ratio. If we let x be the number of questions he gets asked, and y be the number of questions he get right (64), we can solve for x.
\(x*\frac{4}{5}=y\)
\(x*\frac{4}{5}=64\)
\(x=\frac{64}{\frac{4}{5}}\)
\(x=80\)
Now you can figure out how many he missed!
Hope this helped :)
