x^2  + x  +  11  =  5x  - 8      rearrange as

 

x^2 - 4x +  19  = 0

 

 

x =   4  ±√  [   (-4)^2  - 4 (1) (19) ]

x =    4 ±√  [   16  - 76 ]

x =    4 ±√  [   - 60  ]

x =    4 ± 2i√15 

       ______________
