If there are twelve raspberries and twenty blueberries in a bowl and I randomly select one berry from this bowl, use the complement formulas to find the probabilty that I will not select a blueberry

Of so first, english is not my first language so you guys use Berry for blueberries right ? Not rasberries ? Because this is one of my probleme, funny right ? sad

Then formula

I guess if I don't want to pick a bluebbery I will pick a raspberries right ? so I'll do 12/20 ??

Or 1 - P ( piking a raspberry )

P ( picking a raspberry ) = 1 - P

1 - 12/23 ?

Im lost with all those food problem

Please help :(

P( not selecting a blueberry) =

1 - P(selecting a blueberry) =

1 -  (20/ 32)  =

1 - (5/8)   =

3/8

Which is the same probability as selecting a raspberrry  = (12/32)  = 3/8

cool cool cool
