Is (-2,3) a solution of the following algebraic equation? 

3x + 5y = 9

Substitute -2 for x and  3 for y in the equation...so we have

3(-2)  + 5(3)  =   9   ???

Is this true???....If so, then (-2, 3) is a solution.....!!!!

3(-2)+5(3)=9

-6+15=9

9=9 it is a solution
