express (1/2)^1/3 in the form 2^k.

 

I'm applying all the techniques I know, yet I still have no clue how to do it. I know that this is the same as writing the 3rd root of 1/2, which is 3/4... I don't know if that relates to answering the question...

 

Please help

1/2  = 2^(-1)

so (1/2)^1/3   = [ 2^(-1)]^1/3   =2^(-1/3)
