Slope of line  = -2/3

Equation of line     y = (-2/3)(x - 3)  - 1     ⇒  y = (-2/3)x + 2 - 1   ⇒  y = (-2/3)x + 1

y intercept =  (0,1)

x intercept  =      -1 = -(2/3)x  ⇒  x = 3/2

Distance between   (0, 1) and (3/2, 0)   =  sqrt  [ (3/2)^2  + 1^2 ] = sqrt [ 9/4 + 4/4 ]  = sqrt [ 13 / 4 ] =

sqrt [13 ] / 2   ≈  1.8
