If $h(y)=\dfrac{1+y}{2-y}$, then what is the value of $h^{-1}(5)$? Express your answer in simplest form.

We  can solve  this

 

5  =  (1 + y)  / ( 2 - y)        cross-mulriply

 

5 ( 2 - y)  =  1 + y

 

10 - 5y  = 1 +  y

 

10 - 1  =  y + 5y

 

9  = 6y

 

y =  9/6  =  3/2   =   h-1 (5)
