+1084 Any number which is not a rational number is an irrational number, it is non – periodic for any irrational number but it is periodic for any rational number.
For example √5, √9, √8, ∏, e are irrational numbers. A decimal number which does not repeats after a finite value is also an irrational number. The Set of irrational number are infinite.
