Yes......0 is considered as even......I'm not sure of all the reasons why, but here are two......An even number has the characteristic that, when divided by 2, there is no remainder....
And it's clear that when 0 is divided by 2, no remainder occurs.
Also......to preserve order on the number line, "evens" and "odds" alternate. Thus, if 0 were "odd," we would have three "odds" in a row....-1, 0 and 1.....!!!!
