2/3 times 1/4
I personally like to put fractions inside paranthesis to indicate multiplication (*):
(2/3)(1/4) = ?
When you multiply two fractions together, multiply numerator (top) w/ numerator and denominator (bottom) w/ denominator:
(2/3)(1/4) = (2*1/3*4) = 2/12
We can divide the numerator and the denominater by the same number. I'll divide by two:
1/6
