No, it is either 2pi*r, or pi*d, area is pi*r^2.

No....you have the area formula for a circle

 

The circumference is  :   2 * pi * r      or, as sometimes written :     pi * diameter

Actually, the formula for the circumference of a circle is 2(pi)(r).

 

It is easy to get this and the formula for calculating the area of a circle, pi(r)^2, confused since they use the same numbers.
