is there an easy way to find the 50th number in the 53rd row of pascals triangle without doing all the long annoying math with the 0C0 and 1C0 stuff
Not that I know of. Unless you want to build a 53-row Pascal's Triangle. Otherwise, the most reliable method is a good old scientific calculator with nCr key built into it.
53C3 =23,426 the 50th term!!.
This generating function will give you ALL the terms of the 53rd row:
(x +1)^53 !!. For example: the 5th row will give you this:(x +1)^5: x^5+5x^4+10x^3+10x^2+5x+1
