Ivan’s favorite colors are blue and green. He has 1 blue shirt, 1 green shirt, 1 blue hat, 1 green belt, 1 blue pair of pants, and 1 green pair of pants. Ivan selects one of these garments at random. Let A be the event that he selects a green garment and let B be the event that he chooses a pair of pants. What is P(A or B), the probability that the garment Ivan chooses is either green or a pair of pants?

Well, there are 6 articles to choose from of which 4 are a 'succes' (green shirt, green belt, blue pants or green pants) and 2 are a 'fail' (blue shirt, blue hat)

Therefore there is a probability $$P(green or pants) = \frac{4}{6} = \frac{2}{3} \approx 66.66 \%$$ that he picks something green or pants and a probability $$P(notgreenorpants)=\frac{2}{6} = \frac{1}{3} \approx 33.33\%$$ that he doesn't pick something green or a pair of pants.
