Is it elapsed time you want? And if so, you should specify whether the hours are in AM or in PM.
If both of them are AM or PM, then the elapsed time is=15 minutes. But, if 12:45 is AM and 1:00 is PM, or vise versa, then the elapsed time is=12 hours and 15 minutes.
