Julie bought 2 $\frac{1}{2}$ pounds of mints to serve at the wedding reception. She plans to place a candy dish of mints on each of the 3 tables at the reception. Each table will seat 10 people.

If the mints are shared equally, what will be the serving size in pounds for each person?

Each dish will hold

[ 2. 5 lbs ] /  3  =   25/30 lbs.   =   (5/6)lb

And one bowl will serve 10 people....so....each person will have a serving size  of

( 5 /6)  / 10   lbs    =   5/60 lbs   =  1/12  lbs
