what does the button do that says y square root x do?
Well, it takes the square root of any number you enter. Example : enter 225 and press that key, followed by = key, it should give you 15, which is square root of 225.
It is for n'th roots.
Like the the 4th root of 81 is 3 because 3 to the power of4 is 81
