1.

A  and C are supplemental

A + 43   = 180    subtract 43 from both sides

A  = 137°

2.

A and C are supplemental...so...

(4x+ 5) + ( x + 15 )  = 180   simplify

5x + 20  = 180     subtract 20 from both sides

5x = 160     divide both sides by 5

x = 32

So  A  = 4(32) + 5    =  133°

3.

B and D are supplemental

4x - 20  + x  = 180      simplify

5x - 20  = 180     add 20 to both sides

5x = 200         divide both sides by 5

x = 40

So...B  =  4(20) - 20   =   60°

x+116°=180°

x=180°-116°

x=64°

(2(64°)-40)°

128°-40°=88°

angle A=88°
