A lattice point is a point whose coordinates are both integers. How many lattice points are on the boundary or inside the region bounded by \(y=|x|\) and \(y=-x^2+\frac{35}{4}\)?

If I didn't mis-count :


5 lattice points on the boundary


8 interior points on the y axis


And  using symmetry, we  have  2(8)  = 16 more interior points


So...the total  is  5 + 8  + 16  =    29 lattice points
