7.  I have a math question, and it is this one: The length of a rectangle is 3 meters less than twice its width.

       a.  Write an equation to find the length of the rectangle.

       b.   The length of the rectangle is 11 meters. What is the width of the rectangle?

I cannot seem to figure this out, and I need it figured out.

Let the length of the rectangle be L and the width be W.

a) L = 2W - 3

b) L = 11,

11 = 2W - 3

11 + 3 = 2W

14 = 2W

7 = W
