f(x)= 4*x²  +  2*x  -  2

 

f(3)= 4*3²  +  2*3  -  2

you can simplify it

 

f(x)= 4*x²  +  2*x  -  2

 

f(x+1)= 4*(x+1)²  +  2*(x+1)  -  2

and you can simplify it.

 

Can you see how I am just replacing x with whatever is in the bracket?

 

The last one you do the two seperately and then add them together.

Guys thanks for answering, but I was wrong it must be f(x)=4x²+3x-2. If you can solve it for me thanks in advance but if no it's okay 'cause I knew how to solve it because of you guys smiley

\(f(x)=4x^2+3x-2\\ f(-3)= 4(-3)^2+3(-3)-2=25\\ .\\ .\\ f(x+1)=4(x+1)^2+3(x+1)-2\\= 4x^2+8x+4+3x+3-2\\=4x^2+11x+5\)

\(f(2)+f(-2)\\ = 4(2)^2+2(2)-2+4(-2)^2+2(-2)-2\\ = 16 + 4 - 2 + 16 -4 -2 \\ = 28\)
