\(\left |ax+b \right |=c\)

Modulus equation (The absolute value)

This can be either:

\(ax+b=c\)

\(ax+b=-c\)

Solve for a in both cases.

\(a=\frac{c-b}{x}\)

\(a=\frac{-c-b}{x}\)
