 it should be

18-6x=6 (1+3×)

18-6x=6+18x

12-6×=18×

12=24×

×=.5

If you look at it and solve it on your own its easy to figure out an awnser

Line 1 -18 – 6x = 6(1+3x)

Line 2 -18 – 6x = 6 + 18x  [add 6x to both sides]

Line 3 -18 = 6 + 12x  [here is where the error is. When you add 6x to the right hand side, it should be

Line 4 -24 = 12x         18x + 6x=24x NOT 12x that you have]

Line 5 -2 = x               [So, line 3 and 4 should have 24x on the right hand side]

Line 4  -24=24x divide both sides by 24

Line 5  x= -1
