Lynn and Stacy went shopping with a total of $450. Lynn spent 1/4 of her money and Stacy spent $60 . The ratio of stacks money to Lynn's money then became 3:1. How much did Lynn have left????????

Lynn has  x $  and spents   1/4 * x

Stacy spents   60 $          ;    together  450 $

$${\frac{{\mathtt{1}}}{{\mathtt{4}}}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{x}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{60}} = {\mathtt{450}}$$       =>      $${\frac{{\mathtt{1}}}{{\mathtt{4}}}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{x}} = {\mathtt{390}}$$      =>  x = 1560  $

Lynn had 1560 $

$${\frac{{\mathtt{1\,560}}}{{\mathtt{4}}}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{60}} = {\mathtt{450}}$$
