Mahbu is buying school supplies from his local office supply store. He is purchasing a binder for $4.50, notebook paper for $0.97, three reams of printer paper at $4.84 each, and a graphing calculator for $89.99. He has a coupon for 20% off all the supplies except the calculator. He has a $25 coupon for the calculator. How much will Mahbu’s total order be after the discounts but before taxes?

Total cost of everything exceptt the calculator = 4.50 + .97 + 3(4.84) = $19.99

And we can take 20% off of this.....so  .80(19.99)  = $15.99

And $25 off the calculator = $64.99

So, the total cost (before taxes)  = $[64.99 + 15.99] = $80.98
