ok can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

(4 - (- 6))/(-5)

First you would want to cancel out that double-negative. -(-6) = +6
(4+6)/(5)
then you would add the numerator: 4+6 = 10
10/5
Lastly divide 10/5 = 2
And that is your final answer:
(4 - (- 6))/(-5) = 2

Hmm - almost.

4 - (-6) is indeed positive 10.

But when you divide a positive number by a negative number (-5), the answer is negative.

So you want -2
