y = (1/2)x

 

The slope is  change in y / change in x  =  1/2  =  rate of change

 

In the table....note that the rate of change is the same......every time y changes by 1, x changes by 2

 

Also...if we let x = 0 in the function, then y =  (1/2)(0)  = 0

 

So.  (0,0) is on the graph of the function...this is the y intercept

Which is the  same point as in the table

 

So....

 

The y intercepts and rate of change are the same ⇒   "B"
