Given that the fifth number in a sequence of sixteen numbers is five, the tenth number is x, and the twelfth number is three, and the sum of any three consecutive numbers is fifteen, find the number that is represented by x.
I will start you off.
I let the 6th one be y
so the 7th is 10-y [becasue 5+y+10-y=15]
So the 8th is 5
etc
Keep going and you will be able to work out what x is.

Thank you for the response, I found the pattern and found that x=10-y, that y=3 (since the 12th number would be y), so x=7
I have thrown my working out but that sounds likely. Good work.
