Problem  find the slope of:  2x + 3y  =  12

To find the slope of a line, you can place the equation into y-form, the slope will be the coefficient of x.

                                             2x + 3y  =  12

                                                      3y  =  -2x + 12

                                                        y  =  (-2/3)x + 4

The slope is  -2/3.
