Find the inverse of the function f(x)= 3x-5 / x+4 ( they are like fraction on top of each other).

OK....that is what I suspected

y=(3x-5) / (x+4)         change the 'y' for 'x' and the 'x's to 'y's then solve for 'y'

x = (3y-5)/(y+4)       Multiply both sides by y+4

x(y+4)  = 3y-5

xy + 4x = 3y- 5

4x+5 = 3y - xy

4x+5 = y(3-x)

(4x+5)/(3-x) = y = f^(-1)(x)
