perimeter of a regular hexagon = 6 * side length

41.4 = 6 * 2(3 - d)

41.4 = 12(3 - d)

 

41.4 / 12 = 3 - d

3.45 = 3 - d

 

3.45 - 3 = -d

0.45 = -d

 

d = -0.45
