The rule sin(x)/cos(x) = tan(x), does that apply for sin^2(x)/cos^2(x)?

Hello,

\(\frac{sin(x)}{cos(x)}=tan(x)\)

\(\frac{sin^2(x)}{cos^2(x)}=??\)

It isn't  \(tan(x)\)

It is \(tan^2(x)\)

Actually, there is a rule for these which is (If you noticed a pattern):

\(\frac{sin^n(x)}{cos^n(x)}=tan^n(x)\)

so we can say that:

\(\frac{sin^{100}(x)}{cos^{100}(x)}=tan^{100}(x)\)
