What will its height be after a 2.2-km initial ascent at this angle?

Is the 2.2 km (1) the air distance of the path the plane flew,

           or is it (2) the ground distance below the plane's path?

(1)    h / 2.2  =  sin(0.5o)

        h / 2.2  =  0.008726535

                h  =  (2.2)(0.008726535)

                h  =  0.019198378 km

(2)    h / 2.2  =  tan(0.5o)

        h / 2.2  =  0.008726867

                h  =  (2.2)(0.008726867)

                h  =  0.019199109 km

                height rounds to 19.2 meters either way
