The difference between two numbers is 25. The smaller number is 1/6th of the larger number. What is the value of the smaller number?

y - x = 25

x = (1/6)y

y - (1/6)y = 25

5y / 6 = 25

y = 25 * 6 /5

y = 30

x = 30/6

x = 5 (smaller number)
