I am trying to save $20
I put $1 in a jar in the morning and another $1 in a jar in the evening.
how long will it take to save the $20

I would start by saying that $1+$1 = $2 goes into the jar ever day
then
20 divided by 2 = 10days.

Now you can go through exactly the same process with your harder numbers
