Guest: -15x^2-5x+9+(-6x^2)-19x-16+(-15x^2)
First i am going to use the Sup (superscript) button above the smilies so that I can read it easier.
-15x
2-5x+9+(-6x
2)-19x-16+(-15x
2)
Now I am going to take away the brackets because they are not doing anything.
= -15x
2-5x+9
+-6x
2-19x-16
+-15x
2 Now if two signs (+ or - ) are so close together that you can put a circle around them without anything else in the circle, then put circle them.
If they are both the same, ++ or -- replace them with a plus, If they are different +- or -+ replace them with a minus.
so you question becomes.
= -15x
2-5x+9
-6x
2-19x-16
-15x
2 Now collect the like terms, do you know how to do that? Remember the minus sign always belongs to the term behind it eg 6 -2x+3x = 6 + x
You can post you answer if you are not sure. Just include my last line of working so that it is easier fo me to follow
